Costco Burbank is a huge store where you can find almost everything you need. Today I saw a large inflatable pool for kids, a wooden slide for a private house installation, camping tents, clothing, food, household appliances, furniture — basically everything from small everyday items to large household goods. You can only enter the store with a membership card. Recently, they also introduced a new rule: only the cardholder is allowed to pay for purchases. This is not always convenient, as in our case sometimes my husband paid, sometimes I paid, and sometimes our daughter used her card. Now this is no longer allowed. Shopping here is never a quick trip — it usually takes around an hour because the store is so big. On average, our family of three spends about $250–$300 per visit, and that amount of groceries usually lasts us for about a week. Another interesting thing is that there are always different brand representatives in the store offering samples, so you can try products before buying them. It’s actually very fun and helpful, and if you like something, you can purchase it right away. That’s how I discovered one of my favorite flavors — ginger, honey, and lemon, like a jam or spread. Now I love adding it to my tea. Overall, I do recommend this store for its variety and value. However, one downside is the long checkout lines, although this is understandable given how busy and popular it is.

It was unbelievably packed today. Like bumper to bumper on the freeway. It was very alive and felt very festive. We had lots of samples to taste. The lines were fast. Bought pizza and hot dogs to go. Very convenient. Still excellent prices. I enjoyed Costco.

Costco in Burbank usually has good deals, but quality control can be hit or miss. I’ve had to return several items after taking them home. One time it was a lamb rack, it had a horrible, rotten smell when I opened it. Yesterday, I bought a watermelon that looked fine on the outside but turned out to be old and tasteless on the inside. Returns are easy, which is a plus, but I wish the food quality was more consistent. It’s frustrating to bring home something you’re looking forward to, only to end up tossing it.

Straight out of a dystopian nightmare. The crowds that this place attracts clog the aisles and parking lot like plaque in an artery. Shopping here might even feel like having a heart attack. Watch humanity crumble as cars almost hit people and other cars, double park, and block the road from traffic trying to wait for someone to load their car and leave the spot. Take 30 minutes finding a parking spot in the very back of the lot, and walk half a mile around to the front of the store. When you finally enter, giant carts and families block every path. Prices on items don't really work out that much cheaper when you factor in your membership costs and everything else. Then you have the checkout lines, which you have to wait what feels like an eternity for. One time, the Costapo stopped me to search for my membership card at checkout, even though my wife was the one checking out. Was it not enough to check it upon entering the store? The experience will stress you out, but the allure of cheap prices will lure you back... it's a trap! Especially bad on weekends. Go to your local market and support small business instead, and save yourself the stress in return.

Clean not over crowed. Lots of self check out lines only 2 man'd registers at the time, would like to have more. Nothing like a Costco pizza or a hot dog and a drink, what a deal! Always a $100+ trip. Consumerism at its finest. Happy shopping. God bless 🙌
