Costco is more than a place to buy paper products by the bale. It may be an acquired taste, but for certain items the prices keep us coming back. There is always a long line checking out. It's always crowded. But the staff is efficient, and the diverse clientele creates its own sense of community.

I like this store. I pretty much come because the $10 pizza is a great value. However, the customer service at the food court is pretty abysmal. I came up to see if my order was ready. It had been 20 minutes since I ordered and normally they are ready in 20 minutes. I asked one of the employees if it was ready. They said it was, but didn’t seem to be getting the order. The other one of the employees asked me what I was doing? I said oh I’m here to pick up my order. Then the employee grabbed a cup and a ticket and straight up told me he was doing something else. I told him oh, that’s great. But, it wasn’t great it was extremely disrespectful. I ran a GameStop for 20 years that ranked top 25 in the company. The majority of the time I would work by myself and have to multitask. Having double coverage was a dream. The furst employee got my pepperoni pizza and drink. Great to him. It was busy overall, but I made sure to come up to the counter when they were not initially doing anything. I feel as if I don’t say anything, no one is paying attention. This likely happens multiple times per day, per shift. There was no reason the employee couldn’t have helped me, then finished what they were doing since I’m literally standing there. If you have no sense of urgency for the customer in front of you, what do you have urgency for? It seems like the worse the leadership and values of the country get the worse service gets as well. You need to make all your customers feel like a priority. I will be back and I hope I can amend this review with better sentiments. Also, it would be great if the parking lot was improved. It seems to be built for a much smaller store. I would also never purchase gasoline here as the line is absolutely ridiculous.

The price of Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey was $63 before, but today I bought it from Costco for $75. That's a $12 increase, which is quite disappointing.

Overall: 4.5/5 This is our go-to Costco since it’s the nearest location with a gas station. We also stop here to pick up medications, so it’s super convenient to get all our errands done in one place. They have everything we need. Hot Dog ($1.50): Tastes the same as ever. It’s served in a bag instead of foil, and the condiments are self-serve. The relish is delicious, and it comes with a soft drink. Calzone: Very crispy outer edge that was a bit overdone. It literally tastes like a rolled-up pizza, with lots of meat and cheese inside. However, the flavors didn’t feel evenly distributed. It was just okay, and I wouldn’t order it again.

Costco on Research Boulevard in Northwest Austin is a solid warehouse option with the full range of bulk goods, groceries, electronics, and hard goods you'd expect. The location includes gas stations, a tire center, and a hearing center onsite. Aisles are well-stocked with variety, including an expanding selection catering to the Asian community. The food court keeps busy but stays reasonably tidy. Checkout and gas lines move fast despite high traffic volume. The membership-based model offers competitive bulk pricing and their return policy is generous. Parking is ample and the warehouse is wheelchair accessible. A dependable stop for bulk shopping and household goods, though you need a membership to shop.
